DIBELS is used at Odebolt-Arthur as an assessment of early literacy skills which helps
identify students in need of intervention at the classroom level. DIBELS is designed to measure
foundational skills and progress in beginning reading and provide an instructional goal that,
when met, will promote reading success.

DIBELS is administered at the Pre-K through 3rd grade levels to all students. Results of the
assessments are shared with parents three times each year.
